Tim Redfern:Previous Projects by Tim Redfern:Dancing Robosapiens: These installations were created for
the 'Save the Robots' Festival
held by The Ark, running from June 21st- September 31st 2005. The
installations
consist of a number of chrome 'Robosapien'
in glam setting with lights and disco balls.
TTMTV or To the Max! Television A collaboration with Eoghan, Paul and
Eoin of Del9, TTMTV is an
experiment in audiovisual DJing. TTMTV comments on copyright, piracy
and the mores of fashion.
Simple Text A collaboration with Jonah
Brucker-Cohen (MLE) and Duncan
Murphy (Ambulance), simpleTEXT is an audiovisual performance where the
audience takes control via their mobile phones. simpleTEXT was
comissioned by Lo-FI, UK and has been performed in Gateshead, Dublin,
London, Pescara (IT), Ghent (BE), Stralsund (DE) and Barcelona (ES).
Image Mosaic Installations This family of interactive art
installations compose dynamically
changing collages of moving pictures from a live camera feed. The aim
is to
create installations that are 'toys' rather than 'games'- rather than
having a single predetermined use, the audience are encouraged to play
with the piece and discover new uses of their own.
Music Videos and Visuals. Since 2001 Tim Redfern has
produced live music visuals for clubs,
live electronica, conventional musicians, modern dance and an
opera. This project developed a style which combines my
photography and videography
with realtime software and MIDI performance instruments.
